So I’m guessing most of you have heard by now that Disney has acquired Marvel. (If you haven’t I’ll post a link with the information)
After hearing this I ran into some Disney x Marvel art mash-ups and thought they were pretty creative. The pictures below are just a few but I’ll post a link or two where you can find more. (click the pics to enlarge)

I was in Up Against the Wall yesterday and I saw the new Complex mag cover at the counter… it looks amazing. Covers like this remind me why humans need art in their lives. Whether they’re making the art or just viewing it, it makes life more enjoyable. As soon as I saw the cover it made me smile. The imagination that this artist portrayed and the execution of his work was very inspiring. Below is the picture of the covers and a picture from the process of making one. Click on the link to see the process of making the kid cudi cover.

David Brownings is an illustrator based in Bristol currently at UWE. His hand made works (the sneaker and pop up) are simply amazing but his illustrations are nothing to dismiss. His work is all-around incredible. It looks like he is just really starting to put his works out there and I look forward to seeing more of his art. Here’s his website link and check out the pics I posted (click them to enlarge). http://www.davidbrownings.com/
Lately I have been running into a lot of paper made objects (sneakers, hats, etc). The creativity and execution is mind-blowing. I’m going to start experimenting with it and see what I can come up with.
Just a designer toy I ran into. Thought it was sick so I had to share.

Artist (Flatau The Signer) links:
(I’m late with this one, but my blog just started and i HAD to put this up.)
ONE, it’s a shoe designed by Kanye West (he designs as well as he raps). TWO, It’s being manufactured by nike (they usually have good quality). THREE, a percent of the proceeds go to the Kanye West Foundation, which provides the youth with opportunities to engage in the arts… Enough said. This product is DOPE….but hard to find (the authentic ones I mean).
The pink and black are my favorite but I mess with both of these!
