World famous graffiti artist, Bansky, has made history… again. After an amazing exhibition that brought in around 300,000 visitors to London and advanced the local economy about 17 million dollars the authorities have decided to allow the public to vote on whether street graffiti should be removed or not. Bansky has CHANGED graffiti in London. Hopefully this spreads to the U.S.

For those of you that don’t know who Bansky is I will post a link to his site below along with a link to give you more information on the story.

This 09′ VMA promo is one of the most CAPTIVATING mtv promo’s ever. I wish I knew the individuals behind it.

The youtube version isn’t as good as seeing it on a big screen with surround sound but I’d say its still worth watching.

I’m not really into musicals (minus an amazing few), but I wonder what would happen if someone took this to the next level?

These are LIKE THAT!

So I’m guessing most of you have heard by now that Disney has acquired Marvel. (If you haven’t I’ll post a link with the information)

After hearing this I ran into some Disney x Marvel art mash-ups and thought they were pretty creative. The pictures below are just a few but I’ll post a link or two where you can find more. (click the pics to enlarge)

I was in Up Against the Wall yesterday and I saw the new Complex mag cover at the counter… it looks amazing. Covers like this remind me why humans need art in their lives. Whether they’re making the art or just viewing it, it makes life more enjoyable. As soon as I saw the cover it made me smile. The imagination that this artist portrayed and the execution of his work was very inspiring. Below is the picture of the covers and a picture from the process of making one. Click on the link to see the process of making the kid cudi cover.

This has been out for a little while but I wanted to make sure EVERYONE has heard it. It’s definitely one of Lupe’s best.

Lupe has been doing his thing since his first mixtape. His lyrics are captivating and his rap style only adds to the compelling execution of his songs. His albums are some of the few I can listen through every time without skipping tracks. Be sure to be on the lookout for his new album “Lasers”
